Organ Bash III
March 10, 2007
Dan Miller...
who designed and voiced this organ was here
as our featured organist. Dan entertained us
all in two separate sets, returning for two
encore performances due to the immense
and nearly unending applause.
81 Years...
difference between these two fantastic
organists.

Eric, age 14, assists Archie, age 95 with
registration changes.

What a treat this was to those who stayed
until 10 PM!

Archie had her own band, playing in saloons in
the early 1920's.
Eric Fricke
a resident of Arizona, is a 14-year-old
theatre organ student of Lew Williams.

Eric has studied piano for eight years and
classical organ for two years. He currently
studies classical organ with Dr. Craig
Westendorf and piano with Jenny
Weatherwax.

He also studies solfege and music theory with
Professor Snezana Radojevic of Belgrade,
Serbia, a Doctorate student at Arizona State
University.
The Crowd...
stands absolutely still and quiet for Dan's
performance of "Come Sweet Death".

Dan chose the Virgil Fox edition of this Bach
favorite for this performance.

Nearly 100 organists and friends enjoyed this
very difficult arrangement, made to look easy
as Dan's fingers stretched accross 3 manuals
to fill in the chords.
Bill Swayze
made his first appearance at an Organ Bash.

Bill is Senior Staff Accompanist at Arizona State
University's Dance Dept. playing for Ballet and
Modern technique classes forr Dance majors
improvising for classes everyday, playing many
divergent styles of music. He also trains and
supervises hourly musicians who play for
classes, and operates the Dance Dept.'s
recording studio. Bill is also a jazz pianist who
performs at numerous corporate gigs and
conventions with some of the best musicians in
town.

Dan meets Dan !

Finally, the two Dan's meet. Dan (in the blue
shirt) sits in for the real Dan during his
absence.

In the past, we have played Dan's music
courtesy the MR-200 Sequencer.

As Dan was busy performing in other cities,
"Little Dan" sat quite silently on the bench as
Dan "played".
